The Yorkshire Deanery is fully committed to the principle of ensuring the highest quality of Postgraduate Medical and Dental training. In putting this into practice we apply recognised methodologies as set down by the relevant governing bodies, principally PMETB.
PMETB
The Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) is a new UK-wide statutory body with extensive legal powers over the content and standards of postgraduate medical education.
Assuming its statutory powers on 30 September 2005 it took over from the work of the Specialist Training Authority and the Joint Committee for Postgraduate Training in General Practice.
