Wakefield Vocational Training Scheme
Wakefield scheme is based in the Department for Medical Education at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. It incorporates training practices from many locations in West Yorkshire including the conurbations Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield.
Study days are usually held on Fridays with various away days including the BDA conference and trips to GDC and BDA in London.
Simon Bowen is the Wakefield Group VT adviser and has had over 30 years experience as a General Dental Practitioner working mainly in the NHS. His role is to give help and support to both Vocational Dental Practitioners and their trainers, to enable the newly qualified graduate to have the best possible start to their careers.
