RavenscarPersonal Development Plans (PDPs)

1. Begin by downloading the necessary documents including:

 

2. Follow the instructions in the Step by Step Guide.

You should aim to complete at least one PDP each year, although you could start a new PDP as soon as you complete the last. The General Dental Council has now suggested minimum CPD requirements for core subjects:

  • Medical emergencies (at least 10 hours verifiable CPD per 5 year cycle)
  • Disinfection and decontamination (at least 5 hours verifiable CPD per 5 year cycle)
  • Radiography and radiation protection (at least 5 hours verifiable CPD per 5 year cycle)
  • Legal and ethical issues (general or verifiable CPD as necessary)
  • Handling complaints (general or verifiable CPD as necessary).
