Job Fair
An informal Job Fair was held on Friday 6 June 2008 for posts commencing August 2009 in Sports Hall 2, Sports Centre, University of Leeds, starting at 15.00. The fair is an opportunity for LMS students who will be eligible to enter the 2008 national recruitment process and any other UK students) to meet with representatives of the two Yorkshire foundation schools and their hospitals and pick up general information about the hospitals and F1 posts. The location of the Sports Centre can be found at university of leeds website. Please note the Yorkshire Deanery does not provide funding for travel or accommodation. Anyone who does not attend may contact hospitals direct, after the Job Fair, for general information on the hospital and posts using the websites given below.
Lecture to Leeds Medical School Students
A lecture is given prior to the start of the Job Fair by covering foundation programmes and the recruitment process. In June 2008 Dr Michael Harran, Associate Dean for Foundation Programme gave the lecture. The lecture took place in the Level 7 Lecture Theatre at Leeds Medical School at 14.00. All Leeds students must attend this important lecture. If anyone is unable to attend the lecture and/or the Job Fair they should ask a friend to attend and take notes on their behalf.
