North Yorkshire and East Coast Foundation School
The NYEC FS comprises hospitals, community trusts and GP surgeries in Hull, York, Scarborough and North Lincolnshire & Goole (Grimsby, Scunthorpe) trusts. The school is linked to the Hull-York Medical School (HYMS), which will produce its first batch of medical graduates in 2008.
In general an F1 placement in the teaching posts (Hull Royal Infirmary or York Hospital) would be followed by a district general hospital (DGH) placement and vice versa.
The director of the NYEC FS is Dr Colin Melville. Dr Melville is supported by the Foundation School Manager Ms Joanne Clemenson. Their assistant is Ms Samantha Quinn.
