Mr David Pring, Head of Yorkshire Deanery School of Obstetrics & Gynaecology
David Pring graduated at the London Hospital, Whitechapel and undertook his Obstetric and Gynaecology training at a number of hospitals within the London region. He was Senior Registrar at Bartholomew’s Hospital and the North Middlesex Hospital and whilst there developed an interest in infertility and reproductive endocrinology.
He was appointed Consultant at York in 1988 and became involved in local training as Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists District Tutor and has served since then on the Regional Training Committee. He became a Training Programme Director and then Chair of the Training Committee. He was appointed Head of School in December 2007.
He has an interest in medical politics and is currently Chair of the Regional Consultants’ Committee of the BMA and sits on the CCSC representing Yorkshire. He is currently a member of the BMA/CCSC Executive Committee and the Pensions Committee.
He is married with four children, one of whom is a medical student.
