Dr Philip Holland, Yorkshire Deanery School of Paediatrics.
Philip Holland is the head of the School of Paediatrics which was established in September 07 at the onset of run through training. He was appointed as consultant general paediatrician in Leeds in 1989 having completed his paediatric training in Hammersmith Hospital, Great Ormond Street and the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford. He has a specific interest in childhood diabetes and enuresis and has published extensively on the later. He has been deputy regional adviser and regional adviser in Paediatrics for Yorkshire (2001-2007) He is strongly committed to the concept of a Paediatric network throughout Yorkshire with all consultants being actively involved in paediatric teaching and developing high quality training for all trainees from ST1 through to ST8. He is keen to encourage the school to be innovative in its approach to training and to encourage links overseas such that trainees have the opportunity to explore training in different situations.
